Job Description:

Stanbridge University is seeking a candidate with marketing focused copywriting experience for a position as an assistant in our Marketing department

Essential Functions:

  • Works with marketing, media, and web teams to write and deliver content and copy for lead generation, content marketing, website, digital marketing, advertising, social media, webinars, blogs, e-newsletters, infographics, and press releases
  • Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs
  • Drive brand consistency across all company communications
  • Adhere to editorial style and brand guidelines, voice and tone of the institution
  • Stay current on trends and competitors within the editorial sphere
  • See projects through the whole creative lifestyle, from inception to deployment
  • Generate ideas that are based on insights and data
  • Collaborate across departments to execute on strategy and messaging for projects
  • Research topics and produce relevant content while maintaining the brand voice
  • Understanding of basic html and SEO content for digital marketing
  • Conduct basic SEO and keyword research while implementing SEO practices to increase visibility
  • Assist with uploading and publishing web content
  • Other copy-related tasks as assigned by Director of Media and Communications and Director of Marketing

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications
  • 3-5 years experience in content marketing or copywriting for business
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong creative thinking skills and ability to think conceptually
  • Comfortable working independently with little direction under tight deadlines
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a diligent eye for detail, language, flow, and grammar
  • Proven ability to demonstrate brand voice
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent portfolio of work

Work Environment:

  • Standard office setting.
