BSN Program FAQ

Stanbridge University's BSN program is offered full-time. The program takes approximately 36-37 months to complete, including federal holidays and any breaks between terms.⁶
To become a registered nurse through Stanbridge University, you will need to:
1. Complete the Stanbridge University, California Board of Registered Nursing approved, BSN degree program: Enroll in and successfully complete our Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree program.
2. Prepare for the Next Generation NCLEX: Throughout the program, you'll receive threaded assessment and guidance to support and prepare you for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). Our faculty and staff are experienced and dedicated to helping you succeed in this important step towards becoming a licensed registered nurse.
3. Take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam: After completing your degree program, you will need to sit for the NCLEX-RN examination. Passing this exam is required to become a licensed registered nurse.
The Stanbridge University Bachelor of Science in Nursing program’s full-time schedule is offered at the Irvine (Orange County), Alhambra (Los Angeles), and Riverside (Inland Empire) campuses. The program at the San Marcos (San Diego) campus is pending BRN approval.
The Employment Development Department of the State of California projects that in-state employment for RNs will grow by 10.8% from 2020-2030.⁷

Completing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program equips you with advanced knowledge and skills, providing a strong foundation for pursuing graduate education, such as nurse practitioner (NP) programs, and may open up more opportunities in leadership.

For Stanbridge University BSN graduates, it will take four 10-week periods, approximately 11 months to complete the MSN-Ed program.⁶
The MSN-Ed program is available at no cost for Stanbridge University Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduates who choose to enroll in the Master of Science in Nursing Education degree program immediately after graduation and obtaining their NCLEX-RN licensure.
