Career Preparation

Our mission is to ensure that our students have the resources to prepare to transition into a lifelong, rewarding career. The Career Services department at Stanbridge University offers graduates comprehensive, multi-step career preparation, including resume building, the creation of a unique digital portfolio, practicing presentation and communication skills in mock interviews, and job lead services.

Stanbridge University Los Angeles is a branch campus of Stanbridge University Irvine, California. Stanbridge University Los Angeles is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC), a recognized accrediting agency by the U.S. Department of Education.

The Stanbridge University Irvine Campus and Los Angeles, Alhambra Branch Campus are private Institutions that are approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. The entry-level occupational therapy master’s degree program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), located at 4720 Montgomery Lane, Suite 200, Bethesda, MD 20814-3449. ACOTE’s telephone number c/o AOTA is (301) 652-AOTA and its Web address is www.acoteonline.org. Graduates of the program will be eligible to sit for the national certification examination for the occupational therapist administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successful completion of this exam, the individual will be an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR). In addition, most states require licensure in order to practice; however, state licenses are usually based on the results of the NBCOT Certification Examination. Note that a felony conviction may affect a graduate’s ability to sit for the NBCOT certification examination or attain state licensure.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) through 2018/2019 in Orange County. The Stanbridge University - Los Angeles, Alhambra Branch Campus Occupational Therapy Assistant program is pending accreditation.
