Stanbridge University is seeking a dynamic human resources assistant who is detail oriented and hard-working with the ability to multi-task. Candidate must be well organized, have strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to meet critical deadlines in a professional manner. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is people-oriented and gets along well within a team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-established university.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides administrative support to the HR Team by performing miscellaneous clerical functions such as answering incoming telephone calls, preparing correspondence, arranging meetings and conference calls.
  • Maintains and updates all current/retired employee electronic/physical files.
  • Contacts employees to collect all current required licenses, certifications, and paperwork for employee files.
  • Ensures new hire process is completed in an accurate and timely manner, verifying previous work history, pre-employment physical and criminal check clearances are received and documented. Notifies hiring supervisors of eligibility.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and verifies that new hire paperwork is accurate ensuring that all labor law requirements in regards to E-verify, I-9s, W-4s, work permits, etc. are being accurately and thoroughly completed according to designated deadlines and that updated documentation is accounted for.
  • Performs all other human resources functions and other related duties as assigned by the President.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess an Associates degree in related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Experience in human resources or in related field.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
