The Associates of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant Program at Stanbridge University is seeking a part-time faculty member. The applicant will teach PTA students the fundamentals of neurologic physical therapy as well as teach across the curriculum as needed and within their areas of expertise. The neurologic interventions instructor is responsible for teaching PTA students in hands-on lab material.

- Work effectively with diverse populations
- Effectively delivers class instruction utilizing course syllabi and materials that are provided.
- Delivers learning-centered instruction by establishing a classroom environment conducive to learning and student involvement while effectively planning and preparing for instruction and student success.
- Promotes student success by showing flexibility in style and work schedule as well as exhibiting a passion for teaching and engaging students in the learning process.
- Assesses student work in a timely fashion and conveys feedback to students.
- Manages the learning environment by keeping accurate records, submitting grades and other reports on time, and administering academic and attendance policies.
- Relates professional/life/industry experience to learning by the continuation of professional/technical skills development, the introduction of industry perspective into courses, and the active awareness of professional/industry trends and opportunities.
- Perform all responsibilities in accordance with State and Federal regulations as well as University policies and procedures.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings
- A current license to practice as a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant in the state of California
- A minimum of an Associates of Science in Physical Therapist Assistant; Masters or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy preferred
- A minimum of four (4) years of documented full-time clinical experience
- Effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills and organizational skills
- Experience in physical therapy education preferred
- Preferred clinical experience working with neurologic diagnoses in inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation as well as some experience with PNF, NDT and/or LSVT BIG therapy.
