Job Description:

Stanbridge University is seeking a dynamic candidate with excellent customer service experience to be the Front Desk Receptionist. As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will serve as a point of contact for students and staff. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who is people-oriented and gets along well within a team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing university.

Essential Functions:

  • Answer phones.
  • Assist visitors, students and employees by directing them to appropriate sources.
  • Filter inquiries for prospective students and direct to Admission Staff.
  • Organize and deliver mail to appropriate individuals.
  • Distribute all faxes to proper individuals.
  • Assist with school projects, ensure front desk area and copy room are neat and clean.
  • Data entry.
  • Document tracking.
  • Order and maintain office supplies.
  • Process background checks.
  • Special projects/other duties as assigned by CEO and other Executive Staff Members.
  • Always maintain a positive attitude.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to students, staff and visitors.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Strong computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of office procedures and office equipment.
  • Requires excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.
  • Must have prior administrative support experience.
  • A background check and alcohol/drug screening are required.

Work Environment:

  • Standard healthcare setting.
  • Administrative duties are performed in an office environment while sitting at a desk or computer workstation.
  • An incumbent is subject to contact with others, frequent interruptions, noise from talking or office equipment and demanding timelines.

Physical Demands:

  • The incumbent regularly sits for long periods, walks short distances on a regular basis.
  • Frequent bending and squatting. Uses hands and fingers to operate an electronic keyboard or other office machines; reaches with hands and arms; speaks clearly and distinctly to answer telephones and to provide information; sees to read fine print and operate computer; hears and understands voices over telephone and in person.
