Job Description:

Stanbridge University is seeking a proficient end-user desktop support which involves responding, researching and resolving end-user issues and questions. The candidate will also be responsible for classroom computer and AV equipment support, as well as classroom computer setups utilizing Windows Deployment Systems (WDS) to deploy new images to computers. The candidate will also assist with supplies deliveries including books, student supplies, and IT equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Install, modify, clean and repair monitors, keyboards, mice, central processing units (CPUs), printers and other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot problems and provide technical support for software and hardware, including IP addressing issues, viruses, failing applications, etc.
  • Manage upgrades in software and hardware, such as RAM installations or other hardware upgrades/replacement.
  • Deploy new classroom images utilizing VMware and WDS technologies.
  • Run network/phone cable for new classrooms and offices, or replace cables as needed.
  • Field telephone calls and trouble tickets from employees, faculty, and students seeking assistance with technical problems.
  • Assist with receiving books and supplies deliveries, when needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Windows 7 and 8 in a business environment.
  • Support experience in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel), and Adobe Acrobat software.
  • Experience administrating Microsoft Active Directory User and Computer Accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of IT incidents from request to satisfactory resolution.
  • Previous support and troubleshooting experience with standard desktop, laptop, and printer hardware and software issues.
  • Experience with virtualized technologies, specifically VMware ESXI 5.0 and vSphere 5.0 to deploy new classroom virtual machines for IT classes.
  • Experience with Dell, Lenovo, and other vendor hardware.
  • Experience with Microsoft WDS for deploying Windows images is a plus.
  • Certifications, such as CompTia A+ and Network+, or equivalent knowledge and skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work well with a team.
